Elephant Orange Cocoa Gin is an invigorating, citrus-fresh gin variation (40% vol.) that surprises with its aromatic complexity of sweet organic oranges and gently roasted cocoa beans.
The botanical and herbaceous notes of our Elephant London Dry Gin undoubtedly give the Orange Cocoa Edition its full-flavoured base.
The zesty and sweet citrusy notes of the orange combine with the dry, velvety yet chocolaty flavours of the cocoa bean and provide an extra kick of freshness and complexity to our smooth London Dry Gin.
15% of bottle profits are donated to African elephant conservation efforts.
Elephant London Dry Gin is a handcrafted premium gin of 45% ABV that captures the spirit of Africa. Its innovative blend of 14 botanicals combines rare African ingredients with fresh apples that make Elephant Gin distinct from any other.
The design of Elephant Gin’s logo as a stamp is a nod to the letters sent home by the 19th century explorers of Africa, in which they described the botanical discoveries they made. Writing letters was the only form of communication at the time, without which Elephant Gin may have never heard the tales of these explorers.
Each bottle is custom-made and embossed with a crest in the shape of the typical tribal shield.
Elephant Gin’s labels are hand-written by a calligrapher and carry the name of a past great tusker or elephant that its partner foundations currently help to protect.
Elephant Sloe Gin combines the premium London Dry Gin with the classic flavour of wild fresh sloe berries. The fruit is harvested by hand and carefully selected; keeping only the best berries for the sloe gin production. Elephant Sloe Gin is strictly limited to one vintage a year.
Macerated in the gin for several months, these wild berries provide their typical flavour and warm red colour to the spirit.
Compared to other sloe gins, it has a relatively low sugar content paired with a higher alcohol volume of 35% ABV. This makes it ideally suited to mixing in cocktails as well as enjoying it neat.
Taste and Aromas: Elephant Sloe Gin has a richly rounded, lightly sweet and exquisitely fruity bouquet as well as a typical warm red colour to the spirit. The deliberately discreet addition of sugar triggers a perfect balance between tart and sweet notes; without the need for additional artificial flavours.
Design: Every other Elephant Sloe Gin bottle comes with a set of colourful beads tied around the neck of the bottles. They are handcrafted especially for Elephant Gin by the Maasai in Kenya. Use them as a bracelet or necklace – whatever your preference!
The Elephant Sloe Gin is only produced once a year and the labels feature the vintage year – handwritten by our calligrapher, of course.
Elephant Strength Gin is our take on a so-called “navy strength,” whose origin comes from the Royal English Navy and putting a gin to test by lighting it with gunpowder. If the gin had at least 57% ABV, then it surely survived the test and was proclaimed of navy strength.
Elephant Strength is based on the award-winning Elephant London Dry Gin and with its 57% ABV, it is stronger and richer than the original. The Strength encompasses twice the quantity of botanicals and a focus on the extraordinary African buchu, sweet orange peel and herbaceous mountain pine. It is a gentle giant!
Taste and Aromas
The gin is powerful (think elephant-powerful), intense and full-bodied, with a fresh aroma and a higher viscosity than the original; superb in cocktails, it’s equally perfect for recreating the African bush Sundowner experience and for bold adventures across urban plains.
The Elephant Strength bottle takes inspiration from its naval origins with navy blue accents and an inviting map of the ocean, conjuring far-flung exploration and the spirit of adventure at the heart of the brand. Instead of the hemp string that ties around the London Dry bottles, the Strength Gin features a rope-like string with a charming miniature anchor hanging from it.
The Elephant Strength labels carry the names of the so-called Magnificent Seven: the strongest and most impressive elephants known to Kruger National Park, South Africa, these precious bull elephants all bore tusks weighing more than 50kg each.
