Calypso’s “Taste of the Islands” was the inspiration for Ocean Blue. The goal was to come up with a flavour that transported anyone who tasted Ocean Blue to an Island and ocean setting. Blue, fit perfectly with the ocean theme. And the combination of three different blue coloured berries (blueberries, blackberries and blue raspberries) plus lemon, creates a unique flavour with a strikingly Blue Ocean feel. Because of that, Ocean Blue is one of Calypso’s most popular flavours.

Obtained from a premium blend of Pinot Noir grapes (vinified as a rosé) with Chardonnay, this is a delicate and intriguing Trentodoc.

Appearance: Coppery, tending towards old rose. The perlage is fine and persistent.

Nose: Distinguished and of remarkable finesse, with a fresh fragrance of hawthorn flowers and hints of currants and wild strawberries.

Palate: Dry, clean and elegant, with a delicate background of sweet almonds and aromatic musk; remarkably persistent.

A vintage Trentodoc of indisputable quality, obtained exclusively from carefully selected Chardonnay grapes. After long maturation in the bottle, this Blanc de Blancs is a synthesis of elegance, freshness and harmonious complexity.

TASTING NOTES:

Appearance: Deep yellow with golden highlights. The perlage is extremely fine and persistent.

Nose: A particularly fine, intense bouquet, with hints of almond blossom and reinette apples; slightly spicy and with a hint of bread crust.

Palate: Seductive and elegant, with a very persistent velvety texture, in which one finds a light fruity note of ripe apples, pleasant hints of yeast and sweet almonds and a faintly aromatic quality that is typical of Chardonnay.

 

The revival of an original and very promising Cretan variety in a dry white wine version. A unique wine with characteristic identity – rich golden yellow colour, composite flavour and distinct taste.

A composition of 50% malvazia di Candia and 50% Malvazia Aromatica. A wine to be drunk young and paired with grilled fishes, white meats with spicy sauces and mature cheeses.

Deep rosé colour with violet highlights. The aromas of fresh wild strawberries balance with the refreshing notes of resin, which change between mastic and herbs, and come together on the smoked background of the barrel. The typical acidity of the Xinomavro variety adds a freshness to the wine and balances with its aromatic intensity before it ends in a long spicy finish.
