OUR HISTORY
With a distinguished history dating back to the 1930s, our family business continues as one of the country’s most acclaimed distributors of a broad range of products.
Mr. Marios Christofides’s illustrious journey in the spirits industry began in 1971 when he joined his father Andreas’s business, founded in the 1930s. Under his visionary leadership, ACM Christofides Ltd initiated the importation of The Famous Grouse brand into Cyprus in 1977 with a modest order of 30 cases.
The overwhelming enthusiasm from consumers and friends prompted further investment in the brand, leading to its exponential growth and eventual dominance in the Cypriot market. ACM Christofides Ltd proudly holds the distinction of being the longest-standing distributor of The Famous Grouse outside of the United Kingdom, with the highest per capita consumption from all markets, a testament to Mr. Christofides’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
